Too Embarrassed To Get A Free Coffee?

Absolutely everyone has their own issues and insecurities which come out to plague us at different times. People, on the face of it, that appear confident in all areas would be the first one to admit that they have some issues in their personality such as lack of confidence or shyness but somehow they manage to mask it well.

The other morning a friend of mine came into the office and said she had picked up a card for a free coffee from a newly opened coffee shop. Rather than go and collect and indulge in her freebie she came and said she was “too embarrassed to get a free coffee”. I was totally amazed at this, how can someone be too embarrassed to get a free coffee? Straight away I told her to go and get the coffee, they are a new establishment and they are giving out cards because they want customers. Without too much hesitation my friend went back out and got the coffee and she had a great experience! The staff in the coffee shop were friendly and made her feel welcome and she enjoyed a great tasting coffee..!

Sometimes you have to come out of your comfort zone. Do something once and then you realise it is not as bad as you thought it was going to be. Therefore, when you have to do something similar again you will be more up for the challenge, as you can draw upon the good experience of the first time which will push you on.

Do not let embarrassment stop you from doing the things you want to do, especially getting a free coffee!!
